FAQ’s
AM I ELIGIBLE TO ATTEND THE GOLF PERFORMANCE ACADEMY?
All junior golf athletes ages 13-19 are eligible to apply and must meet the following guidelines:
- Have exemplary golf skills. Examples: have a score of 65 or higher on GPC Player Development Index (physical, golf skill and performance testing/assessment, golf IQ of etiquette and rules) or a 78 or lower tournament scoring average in 36-54 hole approved events.
- Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Demonstrate academic and leadership abilities.
- Have strong community service or involvement, devoting a minimum of 40 hours of service per year.
- Submit 2 character reference letters of recommendation. Must be from someone other than a family member.
- Be a citizen of the United States or lawful US permanent resident or lawful International student.

Fall semester deadline: May 1st
Spring semester deadline: October 1st

How are scholarships awarded?
All scholarships are awarded based on merit-based criteria: current participation in golf, assessment of potential success at the college level, and financial need.
Please include the following in the application packet:
- Completed application forms (Financial Aid Forms, Junior Essay, Junior Application) These forms are in the APPLY HERE button below
- Household W2’s/K1’s/Schedule C (2023 and 2024)
- School transcript
- Letter of Recommendation: As part of the scholarship application, we require a letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, mentor, or community leader who can speak to the applicant’s character, achievements, and potential. The letter should highlight why the student deserves the scholarship, including academic excellence, leadership, community involvement, and perseverance. Recommenders should provide specific examples of the student’s impact and potential for success. The letter must be on official letterhead (if applicable) and signed.
- Tournament Resume (or Junior Golf Hub Profile)
- For International Students; Duolingo/TOEFL Test International students must complete either the Duolingo (minimum score 95) or TOEFL test (minimum score 59) as part of the admissions requirements.
